He waved his deerstalker cap and bowed to the adoring crowd.
She stood behind him. Unheard. Stood in front of him. Unseen.
He whispered to her as they slunk off stage, "Ready to solve another case, my girl?"
"You love me, right?" she asked.
He put his hands over his heart and flashed a smile.
